Releasable Product Increments
One of the actions from the Release Retrospective for AM 5.0 (14.0.0) was to aspire to define "done" as a releasable product at the end of each sprint.
We have agreed to the following.
- Produce a milestone at the end of each sprint
- Award each milestone with a 5 star rating as a measure of its quality
- The criteria for awarding those stars are listed below
|Star Category||Sub Category|
|1||Automated Test Runs||No Functional Test failures|
|2||No failures in other tests||½|
No Must-Fix Bugs (targeted for the next release)
No New Must-Fix Bugs (targeted for the next release)
|5||Performance||Regression Tests Pass||½|
|6||Stability Tests Pass||½|
|7||Platform Integration||Contains latest stable milestones for dependencies||½|
|8||"Gut Feel" (Stakeholders)|
"Is this milestone good?"
The majority of stakeholders asked respond "Yes".
|9||"Gut Feel" (Development Teams)|
"Would you actively discourage this milestone being put in front of a customer (for experimenting with)?"
The majority of development teams answer "No".
